Wall Clock

This wood veneer wall clock showcases the rich reddish-brown hue and fine grain pattern of Babinga wood. Known for its durability and attractive texture, the veneer adds a luxurious touch to the clock. The design typically embraces a minimalist or modern style, with clean lines that emphasize the natural beauty of the wood.

The clock was created as part of a personal learning project. As I was planning to build a coffee table that required veneering, I enrolled in an online veneering class offered by Fine Woodworking Magazine. This clock served as a hands-on opportunity to master veneering basics and gain practical experience.

The clock uses Bubinga veneer applied to an MDF substrate, with solid ebony hour markers on the dial. It was finished with Watco Natural Danish Oil.
