Black Night Stand
This nightstand is built from solid ash with a recessed cherry accent piece on the drawer front that doubles as the drawer pull. It is finished with General Finishes water-based black stain to ebonize the ash, followed by several coats of Osmo Polyx satin hard wax oil. Ebonizing does a nice job of bringing out the grain in ash, which you can see through the finish.
The accent tray on top is cherry with a leather inlay and felt bottom, sized specifically for electronic devices with built-in cord management. The nightstand also has a USB port and electrical outlet built into the back panel.
